Privacy Policy

Huntli ("we", "our", or "us") is an AI-powered shopping research assistant. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal data when you use Huntli, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data controller. Huntli is operated by Noumenic, a sole proprietorship established in the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce (KvK) no. 42094898). Noumenic is the "data controller" responsible for your personal data. For any privacy question, or to exercise your rights, contact us at privacy@huntli.app.

We process your personal data for the purposes below. Each has a legal basis under Article 6 GDPR:

• Providing Huntli — creating your account and delivering search, comparisons, and Shopping Stashes. Basis: performance of our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b)).
• Local pricing & region detection — showing prices and retailers relevant to your location. Basis: our legitimate interest in a relevant experience (Art. 6(1)(f)); where precise location is used, your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).
• Saving your preferences — theme, region, language, and shopping persona. Basis: performance of contract / your consent.
• Improving Huntli & keeping it secure — aggregate, privacy-friendly analytics and abuse prevention. Basis: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Optional notifications — account or product emails you opt into. Basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)).

We rely on the following service providers, who process data on our behalf:

• Supabase - Authentication and database hosting
• Google Gemini - product analysis, comparisons, and search conversations
• Serper.dev - Product search results
• Firecrawl - Product data extraction
• Vercel - Application hosting and privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics

AI conversation processing:To power conversational search — including resuming a search if your connection drops and remembering context across follow-up questions — your search queries and the AI's responses are processed and temporarily stored by Google (Gemini API) for up to 55 days, after which they are automatically deleted. This data is not used by Google to train its models. Your saved conversation history in Huntli itself is stored in our own database (Supabase) and remains under your control — deleting a conversation or your account removes it.

Each provider has its own privacy policy. We only share the data necessary for the service to function.

Huntli participates in affiliate programs. When you click on links to retailers on our platform, we may earn a commission on qualifying purchases. This does not affect the price you pay — you pay the same price as you would by visiting the retailer directly.

Our affiliate networks and partners may place cookies on your device to track referrals and attribute purchases. These cookies are used solely for commission tracking and do not give us access to your personal information on the retailer's site. They are set with your consent, which you can decline via the cookie banner or your browser settings.

Important: Affiliate relationships do not influence our product rankings, AI-generated recommendations, or comparison results. All product analysis is generated based on product attributes, specifications, and user preferences — not commercial agreements.

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access - Request a copy of your personal data
• Rectification - Correct inaccurate personal data
• Erasure - Request deletion of your data
• Portability - Export your data in a readable format
• Restriction - Limit how we process your data
• Objection - Object to certain types of processing
• Withdraw consent - Where processing is based on your consent, withdraw it at any time (this does not affect processing already carried out)

You can exercise these rights in your account settings or by contacting us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority — in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

We keep cookies and local storage to a minimum, grouped by purpose:

• Essential - Authentication/login and security. Always active — the site cannot function without them.
• Preferences - Theme, region, and language. Stored with your consent.
• Location cache - Speeds up region detection. Stored with your geolocation consent.
• Analytics - We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights) to measure aggregate traffic and performance. These set no tracking cookies, do not follow you across other sites, and do not sell your data.
• Affiliate - Our affiliate partners may set cookies to attribute referrals when you click through to a retailer (see Section 6). Set with your consent.

You can manage non-essential cookies through the consent banner or your browser settings. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies of our own.
