The Story Behind the Hound
I’m the person who makes a spreadsheet for every decision. Trips, big purchases, everything.
When I started using AI to shop, the recommendations were surprisingly good, but they arrived as plain text. Seeing what an item actually looked like, whether it was any good, and who sold it still meant dozens of browser tabs and copying specs into the spreadsheet by hand. Close the tabs and all that work was gone.
The first version of Huntli just put the real product next to the recommendation: photo, price, who’s selling it. That’s standard now, and it’s also where most tools stop. Huntli keeps digging: the manufacturer’s spec sheet, the reviews, the forum threads where people admit what went wrong. It catches fake “was” prices and finds the small retailer that actually has it in stock. And the Stash is that spreadsheet, finally automated: every candidate side by side, compatibility checked, budget tracked.
My fiancée shops for the love of it. I shop like a forensic investigator. Huntli was built for both of us, and she’s by far the tougher critic.
The hound in the logo is our dog, Alfie. He’s never hunted anything larger than a tennis ball, but nothing gets past his nose.
